Peer Review Process

To ensure the publication of high-quality research, SEAJPH employs a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process.

  • Initial Screening: All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the Editorial Board to assess their alignment with the journal’s scope, basic scientific soundness, and adherence to submission guidelines.

  • Peer Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent, expert reviewers in the relevant field. The identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept strictly confidential to prevent bias.

  • Decision: The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection based on the reviewers' reports.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

SEAJPH is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Our ethical guidelines are based on the core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). We require all authors, reviewers, and editors to strictly adhere to these ethical standards regarding authorship, conflict of interest, and the treatment of human/animal subjects.

Plagiarism Policy

The journal has a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism. All manuscripts submitted to SEAJPH are screened using similarity-checking software before being sent for peer review. Submissions containing plagiarised content (including uncredited self-plagiarism) will be immediately rejected.

Archiving and Digital Preservation

To ensure the long-term digital preservation of our published scholarly content, SEAJPH utilises the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN) [(Note: Or specify LOCKSS/CLOCKSS/Portico if you use those)]. This ensures that our archives remain securely stored and perpetually available to the academic community, even in the event that the journal ceases publication.
